Their Story
Since its opening on Christmas Day in 1936, The iconic Rink at Rockefeller Center has been a perennial winter tradition and a bucket list experience for millions of people. The world’s most famous ice skating rink has withstood the test of time and remains a quintessential part of New York City culture, and a classic experience for New Yorkers and visitors alike.

Their Goal
Increase pre-paid online revenue through The Rink’s ecommerce website TheRinkAtRockCenter.com.

Our Solution
We gathered information about the business and did a competitive analysis, which informed decisions on how to best position The Rink in search. We made web development changes, including copywriting, backend code and e-commerce tracking enhancements. We implemented a third-party link-building strategy that supported keyword targets to help propel the website into the first position for many of our keyword targets.
Their Success
The project started in May 2015, so the results here are looking at year-over-year results for 2015/2016 season vs. 2014/2015 season. Web traffic increased +96% (+200,000 sessions, +146,000 users), web traffic from search engines increased +600% (+130,000 users) and e-commerce revenue increased by +25%, an increase of over $250,000.
