Working with the Rink at Rockefeller Center, we created a strategic plan to re-position their website in Google Search, for keywords that we knew would make a real difference. After only a few months of work we were able to double traffic to their website and increase online revenue over 20%.
This uses the Travel and Hospitality industry average performance from Wordstream(link) as a benchmark. At the end of the campaign, we saw weekly CTR’s of 1.14%-1.25% (comparable to the industry average of 0.47%) and CPC’s of $0.16-0.18 (comparable to the industry average of $0.24). The monthly budgets here aren’t extremely large at $1,000 per month, but are enough to give good guidelines for performance improvement. The tactics here resulted in thousands more clicks per month for the same budget and tripled the number of conversions coming from ads.
